The Minister of Science’s appreciation for the Iranian Manuscript Research and Correction Association

The Minister of Science, Research and Technology of IRAN, during a ceremony honoring the responsible managers and editors of scientific journals in the country, which was held on  9 July 2024 at the International Conference Hall of Shahid Beheshti University, appreciated the Journal of Codicology and Manuscript Research for its scientific efforts in indexing and visibility in the international Scopus database.

Dr. Zolfi Gol also mentioned in his speech that the ministry’s support for the active non-governmental sector in scientific production is comprehensive and serious.

Before the Minister of Science’s speech, five editors of international scientific journals in the country spoke.

Dr. Zohair Tayeb, representing the Journal of Codicology and Manuscript Research stated that exploring untouched research areas and unknown fields for the global arena is one of the ways to internationalize journals, and he urged the Minister of Science, Research and Technology to update some outdated and cumbersome regulations that conflict with the expansion of scientific activities of emerging entities.

He also acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Salehi, the Research Deputy, and Dr. Nejad Ebrahimi, the Director General of the Research Policy and Planning Office of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of IRAN, in enhancing the scientific and skill levels of the editors of scientific journals and the material and spiritual support of the ministry for these journals.
